  • Locate a clip in master timeline for render

    Hi there, guys.
A bit of an unconventional workflow, I know – but for exporting RAW cineDNG to AE for FX and doing a final grade later, I need to find a specific clip from an XML timeline in my MasterTimeline – in order to mark it for rendering the whole clip vs the in&outs from the XML of the timeline.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Tried looking for a “Find clip in Master Timeline” hidden menu item somewhere, but I guess that’s wishful thinking…
    P252 in the manual states:
To locate a clip in the Master Timeline:
    > Right-click any clip in the Timeline, and choose Locate in Master Timeline from the contextual menu.
That clip appears highlighted in the Master Timeline at the bottom of the Conform page, and the Master Timeline playhead moves to intersect that clip.

I can’t find that command in contextual menu ANYWHERE…

    Any help appreciated.

Got the reply from BM’s forum: Apparently this feature was dropped and the manual was never updated to reflect that.

The workaround is to flag the applicable clips in the Conform / Media page and then using the Flag Filter in the Master timeline when you’re at Deliver for render.
