Using AE 6.5. Got a new computer and loaded it. Won’t open and I get this message:
“Aftereffects error:sorry, the last command could not be completed — out of memory. (-108).” Then AE crashes.
I assume I need to change the RAM allocation, which I also assume is in the preferences. But I don’t know how to get there, if, in fact, that’s what I need to do. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Windows or Mac?

You shouldn’t need to change the memory allocation just to get the app to launch.

Try going into AE’s plug-ins folder and taking out the OpenGL3D plug-in (in the Extensions folder). If that works to get AE to alunch, you probably need to update your video card drivers.
