I think the RED clip info is saved as part of the grade in the newest versions. Is it possibly just recalling a grade that had no red settings applied to it?

Yes, after experimenting, found that if I use first shot from group of connected shots – everything goes as it should because I ve set clip red settings. But if I save memory from any other chunk but not the first – it resets red settings of the target clip to project state.
