Loading in video and screen capturing
I have only just started with premier pro, and i was wondering how i go about loading in a .AVI vieo and then screen capturing certain scenes that i need to do a report on?

You need a firewire card if you are using DV tapes. Otherwise you will need an analog capture device. The cheapest option is the ATI all in wonder type card, but the quality will match the price. It really depends on what your AVI is on…

i have the video on my pc but im gettin the error “Unsupported compression in file!”

Ha, I would go download a free application called gspot. It will tell you what codec was used for the file, then we may be able to give you more options.
