Is it possible, using a Panasonic HD 1400 deck, to load tapes shot on an HDX900 at 1080p24 into FCP so it digitizes at 1808p24 and not 1080i60? We have a Decklink HD Extreme card if that will help.

Here is our FCP setup: A Mac Pro 2.8 GHz 8 core, 8 GB of RAM, FCP 6.0.4, a Decklink Extreme HD card, 8 TB of storage (2 – 2 TB Raids + 4 individual 1 TB drive), an eSATA connection card for the Raids.

You have to eject the tape and put the deck in 23/24 mode (take it out of 59/60). Then reinsert the tape and capture 1080psf23.98 via HD SDI.
