LiveType Rendering Issue in Final Cut
Hey everyone,
One of our online bays has an onagain offagain problem with rendering livetype files in Final Cut. The editor will set his sequence to render and when it’s all done the livetype files will have rendered with an error message. here are examples of what his footage looks like when it is rendered.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/21358776@N02/2739192598/His fix has been to kill the render files and rerender (which seems to work) but it is causing him to loose a lot of time. Has anyone seen this before or have any suggestions? He’s running on a Mac Pro 8 core, 8GB RAM, Tiger, FCP 6.0.3, QT 7.4.5

I believe that was a bug that was fixed in 6.04. Check the release notes.

Changes to XDCAM HD422 Sequence Presets
Update to Capturing HDV Clips

FCP 6.0.4 fixed a rendering error for me with Live Type. But the one you mention
still comes up occasionally. The one it fixed for me had to do with opacity of the type
on it’s own background within the Live Type file. Previously I had to render the title
within Live Type and use that rendered file in FCP. I don’t have to do that anymore
since FCP 6.0.4Dan

Sorry, never seen this one.
Debugging FCP in a multi-seat shop is a bear but try moving the .ipr file to another machine.bogiesan
