LiveType Project Properties
I’m editing a project in FCP 7 using footage shot with an HDSLR camera and converted to ProRes. The footage is 1920×1080 progressive, even though the FCP sequence settings say HDTV 1080i when I drop in the footage and match the settings (anyone know why this is?)
I’m creating some font files in LiveType to use in the project and I’m not sure what project properties I should be using. I chose HDTV 1080i since that was the same as my FCP sequence settings, but it looked horrible. Letters were very jagged.
Then I chose HDTV 720p, which looked great probably because it’s progressive, just like my footage. My question is, why isn’t there a 1080p setting in Livetype? Or is there some other option that I can choose? If not, I’ll stick with the 720p choice since it looks pretty good. Thanks.

It’s a long time since I used Livetype. However, in Livetype project settings set the field order to none. In fCP sequence settings, field order, None Set. That will give you progressive.
