    Is there a computer program for the Mac or PC that allows me to plug in my camera via HDMI or USB to show me a live waveform monitor?

    SmartScope or Ultra scope from Blackmagic will accept HDMI.

    If you are using Nikon DSRL, https://www.cinematographerpro.com – has live histogram which is the same thing different format to the info.

    You do not really say what camera you are trying to do this from.
