    Live video capture of DSLR camera in movie mode with Vegas

    Hi! Newbie here.

    I want to know if Vegas can capture live video from a DSLR photography camera operated in movie mode. Can the live stream go directly to Vegas from the camera’s USB2 or HDMI ports bypassing saving to camera’s SD card?

    I’d like to use Sony’s SLT-A35 (doesn’t support tethered shooting).
    Or is there another photo camera that could work with Vegas?

    I believe I once test-live recorded something with my Canon Vixia HV30, a minidv camcorder. Test it out if you can. I’d be curious as to whether it’s possible.
