Live Update in PPro just like in AE?
I don’t know if this is common knowledge or not, but I just noticed that, if you highlight the source window and hit “Play”, you can then choose the clip in the timeline and make adjustments to it while it’s playing. I don’t have state of the art equipment so it bogs down fairly quickly but I imagine on a pro work station that would be quite a huge help in your post work.
Or was this already known and I’m showing myself to be the noob that I am?

Uninterrupted playback while editing is a feature which first made its way into CS6 but has seen changes and improvements since then. I agree that it’s really useful but you do need some faster hardware for it, especially with larger media formats.
