Live Type Textures direct access in Motion?
Posted by Francois Driessen on March 14, 2006 at 6:52 pmAnyone out there knows of a way to access Live Type textures directly in Motion? Or is that overoptimistic thought?

March 15, 2006 at 2:54 amSounds like a Motion Feedback request.
Livetype textures, like Objects, LiveFonts, etc. have a unique extension and probably file type. You might try rendering out movies from LiveType that display the textures.

March 15, 2006 at 5:13 pmYou can save a Livetype file of the texture and import it into your Motion Comp. I do it all the time. Just make sure you don’t have that same Livetype file in final cut, or it will constantly disconnect the media when you toggle back to final cut.

March 17, 2006 at 4:25 pmThanx, Mattyc. Works. Interesting: You have to have at least a space input in on a text layer, else the project remains transparent and the background does not show up in motion / FCP. That said, I think it solves it. Just have to keep your workflow organized cause now there’s another file that links to the FCP at second tier! Fun fun fun!
