    Hi All,

I am trying to save live stream to file.

Below is the command which i m using:

    ffmpeg -i rtsp://IP_Address/stream_name -vcodec libx264 -s cif -vpre default -vpre baseline -g 60 -vb 150000 -acodec libfaac -ar 44100 -ab 128k -ac 1 -vbsf h264_mp4toannexb -f mpegts /tmp/file_name

So, my question is what will be the output file extention i need to set. For e.g 3gp, mp4 etc.

    Regards
    Santosh

You should post this in the FFMPEG forum, this program has nothing to do with Premiere.

With that being said, the -f switch is forcing the video to the mpegts container which is an MPEG2 transport stream. Your extension, for all intent and purpose, should be .ts or .m2ts

It’s just a container, you can always remux as needed to MOV for instance.
