    Hi,

I’m wondering if it’s possible to live switch 3 camera’s onto the timeline of Premiere Pro CS5? It’s a talkshow on internet with 3 camera’s. The company that’s hiring me doesn’t have the budget yet for a vision mixer. So it’s either this or record every camera separately and edit it later.

I am 98% sure the answer to your question is no. What you refer to as “live editing” is commonly called “live switching” Premiere Pro is an editing program and does not have any switching capabilities. For that you would need multiple inputs and at least one output, all synced together in real time, which is what a switcher does.

That being said, recording all cameras and doing a multicamera edit later is not a terrible option. PP CS5 makes it pretty easy, I believe.

Thnx John, I did some research on multicam editing in PP CS5 and it seems that it’s relativetly easy to do so that will be it.
