live IPTV production for
The cable company I work for is currently installing and testing an IPTV system in our headend. The engineers plan to have it running in the near future with all channels being piped through. Since we provide live production for local events, I was thinking of finding a solution to send live video streams over IP, to the headend,to broadcast. Presently, we can only broadcast live in certain areas where there are cable nodes installed(set up modulator and all that). Quicktime Broadcaster can can encode H.264 in real time at 640/480. Anybody have any info on live IP production for the TV screen as opposed to a computer monitor, any solutions. I plan to talk more with the engineers on this matter and would like to ask the right questions.
