  • Live Event Recording (DV) – While outputing 2nd copy to VHS!

Posted by Kyle Bond on July 19, 2005 at 4:59 am

I have to videotape a game and hand off a copy of the game at the end of the event.
I want to know if there is a way to make a second copy while recording the master?

Could I output to VHS thru the RCA/S-Video outputs?
I have no problem toting along a deck if need be.

If i do it that way – will i get all the details -settings on the screen?

    Thanks for any help —

That method will work just fine.

You can turn on or off the on-screen viewfinder graphics on the analog outputs by a menu setting.

    Hi,
Rob is correct. You might want to take a small monitor & hook it up to the deck. THis way you’ll know if you getting video. Plus turning off the ‘on-screen’ is a little trick. If you still have your remote, then there is an ‘on screen’ button that turns off the display to the deck without turning off the display in the viewfinder.

    Good Luck,
