Live camera and effect
I want to composite a live camera background with a pre-rendered effect in real time. For the audience to see themselves, and the effect.
what software will composite this?

Depends on the effect. ie If you want to do a green screen or matte effect, this can be done with a switcher. Also, a Tricaster does many real time effects including live sets where you could put the audience on the beach, etc.

Static camera on an audience and a 3d giant walk around the audience, we were thinking of a bit like the apple app action movie but the audience could see themselves and the giant on a large screen
