I’m working on a video for a product, and one effect they want is the product’s logo to be made up of a multitude of small objects, in the shape of the pill (the product is medical). I’ve tried ball action, and messed with the particle systems somewhat, but I can’t seem to make them use the shape I’m after. They don’t need to scatter, explode, or anything crazy i just need to be able to move in on them as if doing an extreme close up. I realize i could bite the bullet and make a HUGE photoshop document of it, but i was wondering if there was a quicker way.

Long story short, is there an existing tutorial for this, or does anyone have any helpful suggestions. I’m not sure what to even search for on the Cow to get started.

    Thanks.

I don’t really follow you. What is it that you need? A product/logo/whatever made of small pieces right? Do they have to animate? You said no explosion or scattering or nothing like that. So it’s going to be a still frame?

And what with this zoom part? I don’t get it at all. You said “i just need to be able to move in on them as if doing an extreme close up”. Please explain in more detail.

    I’ll be happy to help.
