Little app: Prepare SRT for Translation
There was a discussion about “SRT Caption Workflow and Translation” with 10.4.4 on another group last week.
I created a little free app which extracts the spoken text from a SRT for a further use with a service bureau, Google translate or similar.
The original SRT’s text then can be replaced by the translated text. It makes it easy to create a rough translation with the app and having no problems with “screwed up” numbers from Google in the time information.The app is not really an “exclusive FCPX related” one since it will work with anything which can read write SRT.
The installer includes a small help file along with the app.
