I have an odd problem. I have to go through about 10 hours of footage and cut out all the points where someone refers to a specific website (Sounds fun right?) and cut it out.
To buffer the agony of this task I plan to surf the web. Is there a way to just let final cut play while I do other things on the computer? Whenever I exit out it stops playing.
If this is not possible I can just play the quicktime it is referencing but I figured I would see if there was a way in Final Cut to do this (Final Cut 6).

As far as I know there isn’t a way. If there is I’d like to know about it because I run into these sort of things sometimes as well. (I often would like to have a text edit program open taking notes while a file plays in FCP as well) If you don’t expect to make a lot of cuts, the quick-times won’t be a big problem. In the past I’ve done my cutting on a desktop and browsed on my laptop.

Yea, I was thinking the quicktime be the solution but I figured I would ask.
