Liquid running into liquid
Posted by Michael West on June 29, 2017 at 6:29 pmAll:
Looking to simulate two liquids mixing (ideally, blood mixing with heroin in a syringe, similar to the John Travolta shooting-up scene in “Pulp Fiction”).
Thanks for any insight.

But then… why not simply do it practical??

June 30, 2017 at 11:13 amHello, Michael and good day.
Without looking at the shot and depending on the shot and if you can not reshoot it, maybe you could mix a practical shot with your shot. If you could find a shot of liquid mixing and then composite in Motion. You will need to track it and mix it until it looks real.
If you need to recreate liquid mixing in a software, then maybe Blender.org could help. It has a great liquid simulation toolset. There is a learning curve, so I would try the first suggestion first.
Please keep us posted. Have an amazing day! ☺

I’m thinking now I may just go in the direct of modifying/morphing 2D shapes to appear to blend together, the end results along the lines of the Yin-Yang symbol.
More stylized than actual.
