I have a segment of footage where my daughter scores a goal during a hockey game. In the following segment, my son, who happens to be the announcer for the game, announces the goal. I saved that audio and placed it under the segment with the goal. So for that event, there is one video and audio of the same length and one audio event under that segment which is of shorter length. I am curious if I am able to pair up and link the audio segment below with the video/audio above so that when I move things, they all move together and I don’t have to keep realigning them? Thanks.

Just select them and press G (or Edit>Group>Create New)

I’m curious about how to identify groups. I sometimes use them but see no way to determine what is grouped after the fact.

Right-click on the event and choose Group>Select All. This will select all events in the same group.

Remember to select the video events AND their associated audio before grouping, if you’re grouping multiple video+audio events.

If you click one of the events (audio or video) in a group, the other events in the group will be highlighted with a light blue border. This includes the default video-audio grouping when you drop a video that has an audio stream on the timeline.
