Linking to parameters outside comp
I’m quite new to After Effects and I have a practical question. I’ve got an expression in one comp and I want it to link to a value in another comp. The pick whip seemed to work only in the current comp’s timeline, so I worked out the syntax and coped with it by actually typing the address in. But I think it’s the long way, I’m wondering about faster ones.

The pick whip should work fine across comps, as long as you have both timelines open and the target property is visible.
