Linking text to a layer
I can’t seem to get this to work, even though it seems to be incredibly easy….
I’m working with about 30 layers of a font and want the text to the be linked to one layer, so all I have to do is change one layer and the others follow (I thought I’d need the pick whip to select the layer). I can’t seem to get the right expression to work.

Nevermind…figured it out. Had to simply pick whip the layer’s “source text”…not the file name.
thisComp.layer("LAYER NAME").text.sourceText
