Linking problem in Final Cut
Hello
I am working on a documentary and am have trouble with keeping my video and sound linked. Now whenever I drop footage into the timeline, it treats the footage as if it is not linked. The footage displays with a line underneath its name as a clip in the timeline and also the link option is checked but it still acts as if it is unlinked. What can I do to solve this problem ? Someone responded don’t hold down option but that doesn’t make any sense I’m holding down anything, I’m simply moving footage from the canvas into the timeline and it is not linked.

Make sure that you have LINKED SELECTION clicked…it is a box in the upper right hand side of the TIMELINE. There are two boxes up there, it is the one on the left.
