Linking paths of Shape object.
Hi there.
I’m on a job where there will be a large output. To make changes easier down the line, is there a way of linking the path of one shape object to the path of another shape object so that I would only need to alter the path of one of the shape objects and it will alter the rest.

You can just use the pick whip to connect one path to the other. You’ll end up with something like this:
thisComp.layer(“Shape Layer 1”).content(“Shape 1”).content(“Path 1”).path

Oh so it does! Apologies for that. I jumped the gun too soon I guess. I tried it within the comp I had at the time, that exact thing, pick-whipping one shape path to the other and it didn’t work but i’ve just tried it in a fresh comp with only two layers and it worked fine, should have done that initially. Sorry for being a total doosh but thanks for your help anyhow.
