    Thanks in advance,

The Problem: I am sending off daily QuickTime files to a remote producer for an edit I am working on. What I would like to do is to export my sequence to Compressor, have it create the quicktime, and then have it automatically start uploading to an ftp site. This would save a crucial step. When I arrive in the morning the file would allready be uploaded and I would have the client review notes to work off of.

I noticed Compressor has an AppleScript function, would this work? How about Automater, or some kind of watch folder?

I am running FCP 5.0 on a Quad G5 with Tiger. I am currently using Fetch as my FTP client.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

Fetch is recordable by the AppleScript Script Editor….meaning you can just perform an action with the Script Editor recording and save it as an AppleScript…no code writing necessary.I don’t use Fetch, but I found this on their website.

Once you get the AppleScript made, it should be easy to get Compressor to fire it off from the Actions pane.

I don’t think Compressor supports Automator yet.
