Linking Audio & Video Clips – Problem
Hi Everybody,
I hope somebody has an answer to my issue:
An Interview, the sound is recorded separately: One mono File Neck Mic and one with the Boom.
I put all three (one video & 2 Sound Files) on the timeline and sync them.
After that I linked the corresponding Video and Audio clips together (“Link Clips” command).
But unlike FCP7, they do not act as one – when I cut, trim move or any other action, they still behave as single clips,
only showing when put out of sync from each other.How can I really link them together, that while editing they behave as one unit?
Tried already to nest them – did not work as well.Thanx for any advice.

Found the issue….silly me.
Wanted to actually remove post, but did not find the option.

Please explain the solution, just in case somebody is looking up this problem in the future and needs an answer. -
I will answer, in case anyone finds this thread and feels as frustrated as i did before I figured this out. If Resolve suddenly stops cutting both the audio and video for clips (even though they are linked and *should* cut together) you should check to make sure that the chain-link icon, directly above your timeline, between the magnet icon and the suitcase with two-way arrow, is selected. This fixed the issue for me.
