    Linked Files can not be selected as linked

    I believe i might have something selected with out realizing it.

    Have video and audio clip that is in my timeline that is linked together. When i select a clip in the timeline i can only click the video or audio individually. However if i hold the shift key and select the clip the clip moves around like the audio and video is linked.

    Its like the controls flipped. I have restarted my FCP and still having the same problem.
    Anyone know what is going on?

    so here is the answer throw our preferences and it works.

    Linked selection. Button in the upper right of the timeline. Shift-L.
