In DVDA I have a small introductions video that is nominated as first play & then links to a page where you can choose either play all or go to the scene selection menus.

I have all of this playing OK but I would like to have the last scene of either of those menu’s to link back to the first play menu. Is this possible? I can’t see any option to get back to that menu from the drop down list?

Is there any way to have the short first play video not appear on any menu/ What I was thinking was it would only play once & then display the play all/scene selection menu.

    Thanks in advance

All of what you ask is most certainly possible. I’ve done it. What is really difficult is explaining this fiddly and feature control option here, through “text”!

Ok, track down the END ACTIONS controls. This will ensure that at the END or finish off a Play will get you back at the END of an ACTION.

Now, your PLAY once and get to “another” Menu is also possible without that event showing.

As I say, to describe is difficult for me. Others can have a go. What I will advise you to do is track down Gary Rebholtz’s DVDA Seminar it’s brilliant! Gary is SCS’s Product Training Manager at Sony Creative Software and is full if ideas and solutions. Check out his tutorials and Seminars.

Rename the menus in DVDA so that they aren’t all named “Menu”. This will make it clear where you go with the End Action option.

Note that the End Action applies to the media – what happens when you reach the end of the media.

In your second question, I assume that you are using a template to make your menus. (FYI, I make all my menus in Photoshop). The solution could be as simple as deleting the button.
