    I know this is easy to do, i just can’t figure out how to reference the previous picture.

    I have a bunch of pictures that are all different widths (but same height) and I want them to come from off the right side of the screen and land progressively next to each other.

    So in other words each picture’s position should be determined by the previous pictures width (I’ll adjust all the anchor points)

    Try this:

    L = thisComp.layer(index-1);
    L.transform.position – (width + L.width)/2

    thanks, dan. i think this should work. i now see that need for the “L” to reference the information. makes sense.
