    I realize that I could sketch up some lines with the pen tool and use stroke to fill them, but then I want to make them “dance”, or move together.

    I’ve downloaded linescreator but I think I would try “connect layers” as well Ted. Is it a way to make the lines “move” between the dots, like stroking?

    And how is it possible to create that 3D effect`where the dots are moving in 3d?

    If you are using the tutorial above with the beam effect, you can set the “length” to 100%, then animate the “Time” from 0 to 50% to have the line animate on.
