lines of text from illustrator
hi there
i have a bunch of sentences that i am trying to optimally import from AI
i convert to outlines and each is on its own layer. when i import the v8 .AI file, i just have one null with a all of the paths under it. is there a better way to group the layers in the .AI so that import is easier?
should i just have one sentence per .AI. ( that kind of sucks to make changes, would be better to just have one doc.)
i’m not stuck, just for the future, trying to understand the better way to go about my workflow when doing text from AI to C4D

check out the Preferences/Import/Export/Adobe Illustrator prefs. I haven’t tried whole lines of text but perhaps one of those settings might help (others are likely to actually know)
