When I have crossfire X enabled on my system I cannot render files without them being messed up, and the preview looks like this:

When I disable crossfireX everything is normal.

But with crossfireX my render times would be 2x faster because its 2 GPU’s am I correct?

    System Specs:
    Asus M5a97 Motherboard
    2x AMD HD Radeon 7850
    AMD FX-6100

Well until there is an update, i would recommend you
continue using Vegas with it disabled.
Even then, its a possibility that your renders would not
    necessarily be twice as fast.

Having two GPUs isn’t going to give you 2x faster render speeds. I believe that Crossfire is strictly for gamers and no NLE system is going to take advantage of dual-GPUs when it comes to rendering.

neither SLI nor Crossfire are supported in any NLEs that I know of…

dual GPUs have no performance gain with video editing.

6 core CPU and the fastest clock speed you can get!

More Processing power is the only key…
