  • Linear wipe with a border?

Posted by Michael Levin on August 15, 2011 at 12:37 am

    Hi guys,

I was wondering what would be the best way to add a border or solid bar to the linear wipe effect? As in it works exactly like the linear wipe in premiere pro effects expect there is a bar moving at the start of the wipe clearly defining the areas before and after the effect.

    Any advice is appreciated!

    Thanks

I’m not at my editing station at the moment, but I believe the wipe transition has an option to show a border already built-in. You just have to check the box and define the thickness & color….

Right, border width and border color can be changed. Good luck!

Thank you guys, I realised that I was using the “linear wipe” transition in the effects panel which doesn’t actually allow you to set a border but when using the “wipe” transition, both border width and colour can be set. Exactly what I was looking for!

    Thanks again!
