Line Cut Tool not working in front view – only working in perspective view.
Hi,
I’m trying to use the line cut tool to cut the shape of a spline into a cube but it doesn’t seem to work except in perspective view. It doesn’t work in front view. I attached a video of what I mean.
I’m a noob using R18. What am I doing wrong??

Hi Tarn,
I think the problem is that you are trying to do it in the Polygon Mode. Change to Point Mode make sure that the shape is selected then hold Ctrl when you want to cut like in the video below and try again.
I hope that will fix your problem.

Thanks for replying! However, It didn’t work. I made sure I was in points mode. I attached a video of my failure. Can you see anything in my video I’m missing?

You are welcome, Tarn! I am happy to help you. I have seen the attached video. You are right. It seems weird. I hope you could post your file or part of it here so that I can check it for you. May be there something special in the file that make the problem.
