Line between two tracked points in motion5
Hello,
I have two tracked points and they are moving differently during my video clip.
I want to put a line and use this two points like my line’s extremeties.
Then, my line length and her orientation changes with the movments of the 2 points.
It is possible to do this effect with motion5 ? If yes how ?
I think to “attached” the line’s extremeties to the tracking’s point…. -

Match move the line to each tracked point, and for each match move, disable the behavior for the control point that you don’t want to be affected by clicking the gear icon next to the list of control points in the Inspector (when the shape is selected).

Hey
I have spent a lot of today trying to work this out and i think i have a solution. Mark when i tried your way it wouldn’t let me track the 2 geometry points to 2 different objects.
i.e point 1 follows first dot up and point 2 follows a second dot down.
So I animated the dots and then baked then selection creating a mov file with my animation. the i could track the dots as one object. If there is a more organic way to do this i would love to know because this feels like a work around.

Here is a trick.
Do a dot. use a replicator to create a line – lots of dots. you have to control start and the end of replicator – simply add parameter behavior – track (and match to the movie) or if you are trackin a motion object – LINK to the object move.
