Limit AE Search Bar Functionality
Hi, I’d like to be able to use the search bar at the top of my AE timeline to search for specific layers by typing in the layer name in the search bar.
However, I’m frustrated as the search box tends to find TOO MUCH and shows layers that have even a reference to the layer I’m searching for in an expression for example, as well as showing search results for AE help.
Is there any way to strip the search box’s functionality back to the bare bones of only scanning through layer names?

That’s something you’ll have to give as feedback to Adobe.
Right now it is strictly a keyword search, anything you type is searchd against everything from expression source codes to effect parameter names to comments…
