Everybody remember the opeing title sequence on Panic Room. Where the titles were created in cg and motion tracked to make it look like it was part of the huge buildings.

I am trying to create a simlar effect. I am looking for tutorials, advice, or any comments.

I will be filming a white room, with a man at a table in the middle. As the man speaks, words he says will appear in the enviroment around him. The camera will be still at times, and at other times we will dolly it. I have tracking points and will measure distance from camera to tracking points, as well as the distance from tracking point to tracking point. Does anybody else have any other advice?

Really, I am concerned with the words rotating with the camera and maintaing the proper positions, how can I achieve this properly?

AE can track points in footage, but it has no idea where those points are in 3D space — it only sees in 2D. In other words, it cannot take the tracked motion and create a 3D solution.

I recommend you use a 3D tracker such as Syntheyes and bring the tracked data into AE or a 3D app. Syntheyes has an AE export module.
