Has anyone had experience with loading the Calibration EDLs for Lightspace with DPX sequences output from the program? I am able to load the DPX sequence into the Media Pool, and import the EDL as a new sequence. The EDL does not point to the DPX files though, so there is no media in the sequence.

Open up EDL in text editor, as far as I remember each EDL has different “reel” names. Like 10s5s would be the reel for 10cube5sec EDL… somehow like this. So you need to load in your images with right “reel” name. After that, whan you get images in media pool you need to offset the timecode, from 01:00… to 00:00… or vice versa I don’t remember right now. Just see in EDL in text edit.

After your reel name and timeocde if colour patches are good, than EDL will work, but only for that version of EDL. Not with all (bacause of “reel” names!)

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I was able to import the files after changing the timecode to 00:00:00:01 in the Media tab.

If my memory doesn’t fail me I think you have to name the folder they are in (dpx) exactly the same name as the edl you are using. So the reel has to match the edl name.

Yes, I can confirm that naming the folder name the same as the sequence is necessary for Resolve to link the files to the EDL.

It has to do with name of the folder if you told Resolve to look for reel name from it. But you can anytime change the reel name of any clip or more at once (you will find it in right click menu, when you click on footage in media tab). When you r reel name is right than your EDL will conform right way.
