I’m trying to migrate a project I did in FCP 7 and move it to Premiere CC for a makeover. There is a signature effect in the FCP edit that was made using Glow->Lightrays*. It’s a Video Effect and not a Transition.

There is a CC Light Rays in After Effects that is not that dissimilar but not close enough.
FCP Glow->Lightrays looks a bit like a heat/light explosion. Any Premiere plug-ins or options I might consider?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

No replies yet… man, this is bumming me out. Light Rays is such a useful transition option.

Trapcode Shine is the effect Paul was looking for.

For a transition, Sapphire DissolveEdgeRays from GenArts, or BCC Rays Dissolve by BorisFX.
