  Lightning

  okay, so this is my basic problem:

  I want to create a traveling lightning effect that starts when a guy hits a switch and ends a a point soon after. How should I go about doing this? I probably should mention that I’m rather new to AE, but I’ve watched a bunch of Andrew Kramer’s video tutorials.
