I’m not sure if this is the right forum for my question. If not, then my apologies.

In a couple of weeks I’m going to be shooting a promo video for a dance studio. The plan is to shoot several of their classes then conduct interviews before and after class. Btw, I’m an absolute beginner at this.

    So, a couple of questions:

    1. Is this the right place to ask for non-software related lighting techniques? And if not, could someone indulge me with a more appropriate forum?

    2. The real question: what’s the best way to light this kind of live action dancing? I’m using a Canon HX-A1. Should I use an on-camera light (I’ll be doing a lot of handheld)? Should I set up some lights around the studio (I have some totas I use for interviews)? Or just let the sun do its work (one entire wall is a window, normally curtained off)?

    Thank you for any help!
