    Hi everyone,

First day here at cow and I already have a question.

I wanted a few opinions on how to light a scene like this one:

to make it the most realistic. If ever you have examples that woulb be great!!!

Its mainly between: area lights and omnis, Gi or no Gi, Ao or no Ao.

I’m kind of new in C4D and your feedback is most appreciated!

    Thanks alot to everyone posting.

To make it most realistic you would want to use GI. I would put spots in the overhead fixtures. I’d use the details enhancement feature in the GI options over AO as it’s much faster. You might want to add a few omnis or wide-angle spots to brighten up the lighting as well.

    Thanks Adam,

I’m using C4D 10.5 with no render engine, just C4D, Am I working for nothing?

And the “details enhancement feature”, can I find that in 10.5?

Thanks for your comment and your feedback!

    Hi Stephane,

Sorry about that — details enhancement was added in Cinema R11. AO does pretty much the same thing, just slower. R10.5 is quite capable of nice looking renders, so don’t fret about that.
