essentially i’m trying to make a 3D cube act like a light bulb, and have tried using the point light inside the cube, but can’t seem to get it to work

any help would be greatly appreciated

How about turning the cube opacity to around 60% and then putting an omni light onto a adjustment layer.?

You can’t create an object that emits light. You can turn the faces of the cube into objhects that act as gobos or filters but that’s not the same thing as a glowing panel that produces light that will illumine another object.

Back in the olden days, we’d simply create a light and parent it to the object. You’d adjust the shadow dispersion and color of this light to emulate the cube’s attributes.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
