Has anyone seen a previous thread or know how to create the following effect:

I have a still image of a smile and I would like to have white light pour through the teeth until the whole screen would turn white.

The short would be the end to a :30 clip.

Thanks for any help and direction.

This would be a pretty easy effect with trapcode’s shine plugin. Just create a duplicate layer from your footage and mask off the teeth, apply trap code shine and animate the multiplier and ray length to get the effect you want. You can also apply an adjustment layer to the whole comp to blow it out to white using a level adjustment and animating the black output from 0 to 255

Shine would work the best but without it, use Generate>CC Light Burst.

    Good Luck.

    Guys,

I have an emergency. I having been using the 30 trial of AE and just purchased the full version. I also took your advice and bought the Tapcode shine plugin. The client love the final video with watermark from trapcode demo, so I bought the full version to get rid of the mark. The problem is that it won’t recognize the plug-in now and so I am stuck. And I have an ASAP deadline. I called Trap-Code Customer Service and got nothing.

    Any ideas?
