OK .. I will be teaching a fundamentals lighting class. I want to teach about current lighting styles and am looking for a book that might work for the class. Most of the books are pretty out of date. If anyone has a recommedation. I really want these kids to see it the way it is and the way it is going and off to a good start.

Ross Lowel’s book never goes out of style. “Matters of Light and Depth”

Their web site also might be useful to your students because of the many online examples of things like 3-point lighting, with interactive tutorials.
