Light Wrap in Final Cut?
I’d like to do a Light-wrap effect in Final Cut without going to Shake, AE or other compositing hosts. I’ve already got a good key and tracked background, so I’d just like to find a plugin or technique to do some gentle light-wrap, blending my background into the foreground edges.
I don’t have the budget to get AE, BCC, Primate, DVMatte, Keylight, or any of those other good systems, and I’m already 90% done with my key with other tools, so I just need Light wrap. Hoping to find a free solution, but I have $100 to spend if there’s a cheap plugin that does this.
1) Anyone know of a way to get existing FCP plugins to do this? It shouldn’t be hard, I basically just need a NEGATIVE mask-feather, so that it feathers INTO the foreground.
2) Anyone know of a free or cheap (<$100) plugin I can use to do this? I've been looking at blurs and matte tools, compositing modes, and I'll bet there's an easy way to do this without installing Shake, BCC, Primate, DVMatte, Keylight, or any of the RIGHT tools. Just curious if anyone can think of a way to do it within these constraints I have-- thanks! Please don't add noise to this thread by convincing me to use Shake, AE, or the other tools, I've used them plenty, but we have our own reasons for keeping this all in FCP. Thanks! -Geoff
