    Hello All

Here is a sample video that contains the look I am trying to create. The video has the black “feathering” around the frame through out. It also has this effect of “light rays” almost like “sun rays” shining on the video for most of the piece.
I am trying to create both of these effects in FCP. How would you do this? or would you need other plugins, if so please advise how I can do this in FCP timeline or is it better in After Effects?

The second thing is another sample video that starts with a nice title design. It has red background with some black object, almost like a ramp or water moving in the background and then titles just super on the background. How can create a solid background with another object or movement in the background blended toghter.
Here is teh sample of this red background:

    Sammy,

Your link doesn’t seem to work for me, but Volumetrix by Cow hommie Peter Wiggins might be a great bet for you.

Actually all pretty straightforward stuff here. The light rays would most likely be a preproduced movie such as a Jumpback. Add it below the layer of video (most likely) and play around with the composite mode. The feathering looks to be a slight vignette added to the video track. Look for the vignette filter included with FCP. Pretty simple.
In the second video, the titles are animated most likely with simple keyframes with a blur & fade added so that the timing results in the effects you see. Without know just what system the video was produced on and not knowing what plugins were involved it’s difficult to get more specific but most systems will do these effects.
With the exception of the moving light streams, all of this can be easily done in FCP.
    Nice wedding videos BTW.
