Light Ray Mask?
I have a ps file and on top of that I have an adjustment layer with cc light sweep applied to it. How can I get it so that when the light sweep moves over the ps layer beneath it it reveals only what the light sweep is touching?

There might be a better or more efficient way of doing this, but I achieved this by applying CC Light Sweep not to an adjustment layer, but to a black solid. This is of course above your PS layer.
Then I set the PS layer to “Luma Matte”. Note: This will effectively shut off your light sweep… but that’s easily fixable by turning the eyeball back on, if desired.

Delete the Adjustment layer.
Create a new Black Solid Layer above the ps layer, same size as comp.
Put the CC Light Sweep on the Black Solid layer.Now set the track matte on the ps layer to Luma.
You may need to adjust the Light Sweep on the Black solid layer to get the illumination you want.
I hadn’t thought of this, a nice look.
