    I have 4 3d layers. 1 is the background which is further back on the Z axis. The the other 3 are aligned in front of it. The light is in front of those three….putting them between the light and the background. Cast shadows is checked, all layers are 3d, but still no shadows. Am I missing something?

    make sure accept shadows is on for your background layer and that casts shadows is on for your light… if that doesn’t work, disable opengl rendering… not all graphics cards will render shadows in opengl (its a newer feature in opengl 2.0).
